Platform Security Engineer (Immediate Start | Critical Fix | High Impact)
Location: Remote (U.S. Only)
Start: Immediate (this week)
Type: Full-Time Contract (2-week critical engagement, strong extension converted into Full-Time)
The Situation
We have a live, agentic platform (Copilot-style) with identified security and platform vulnerabilities.
The analysis is done.
The problems are clear.
We need someone who can come in and fix it — fast.
This is not a planning role.
This is not advisory.
This is execution under pressure.
What You’ll Own (Day 1)
- Jump into a live system with known issues
- Execute fixes across:
- Authentication / Authorization (OAuth, IAM, access control)
- API security and service-level vulnerabilities
- Cloud infrastructure hardening
- Secure and stabilize production-critical workflows
- Work directly with engineering to ship fixes immediately
- Make decisions, not wait for them
What We’re Looking For (No Fluff)
- 7–12+ years in Platform / Security Engineering
- You’ve fixed broken systems under pressure before
- Deep, hands-on experience with:
- AWS, GCP, or Azure (must)
- API security, microservices, distributed systems
- Auth systems (OAuth, JWT, SSO, RBAC)
- You don’t need onboarding — you figure things out fast
- You can operate with speed, ownership, and minimal direction
Bonus Points (but not required)
- Experience with AI / agentic platforms / LLM-based systems
- Background in incident response or post-breach remediation
- Experience working in early-stage or high-growth environments
What This Is NOT
- Not a “let’s review and report” engagement
- Not a junior or mid-level role
- Not for someone who needs structure to operate
Logistics
- Must be U.S.-based and authorized to work (no sponsorship)
- Full-time availability required (next 2 weeks minimum)
- Immediate start (within days, not weeks)
Why This Role
- High urgency, high ownership
- You will directly impact a live production system
- Opportunity to prove value quickly and extend
How to Stand Out
When applying, include:
- Example of a system you stabilized or secured under time pressure
- Tech stack you worked on
- What you fixed and how fast
