YOUR OBJECTIVE COMES FIRST
Define the scope in its operating context.
Prepare people and workflows for responsible AI use.
Nevada GOED includes IT, logistics, hospitality and advanced manufacturing among its target industries. This is economic context, not evidence of an agency requirement or a public-sector engagement. For a proposed initiative involving site maintenance intake, first identify the authorized process owner and the decision the initiative is meant to support. A private-sector operating example can inform questions, but it does not establish procurement eligibility, agency demand or suitability for a government deployment.
Nevada GOED: Target Industries ↗01Role-based learning tied to actual tasks
Distinguish general awareness from the skills needed by process owners, reviewers, technical administrators and managers. Use approved training examples that reflect the intended workflow. Explain what the system can establish, where uncertainty remains and how staff escalate a question. For a discussion about site maintenance intake, an approved discovery brief should identify location references, asset details and existing maintenance threads. Confirm which information may be used and where staff distinguish an administrative request from an urgent operational decision. These are questions to assess with the initiative owner, not an assertion that this workflow exists at a particular agency.
02A task-based training example
An authorized administrative example can make review responsibilities concrete. Consider the following work description only after the agency approves its relevance and data: Extract proposed property, unit, asset and issue details from approved messages, then check them against your existing records. Show missing locations and duplicate threads in a review queue. Staff retain responsibility for urgent escalation and deciding whether the draft becomes a work order. Training should explain permitted inputs, correction and escalation, with qualified staff retaining the relevant judgment. Use an approved or appropriately synthetic exercise; do not place real restricted records in an unapproved tool.
03Readiness across a second handoff
A connected example can test whether staff understand incomplete evidence and process ownership: Group shipment messages by the correct order or shipment reference before creating a task. Distinguish an expected appointment change from a missing delivery confirmation. Keep event timestamps and receipt times so an older message cannot silently replace a newer operational update. The authorized agency owner decides if this use is permitted. Procurement, security, records and accessibility reviewers identify their own required approvals before a pilot becomes an operating service.
04Adoption people can support
Prepare instructions, feedback channels and a clear operating owner. Measure completion and practical understanding, then examine review effort and recurring questions. Update training when the workflow changes instead of assuming an introductory session establishes continuing readiness.
