01Engineering around a defined product
Identify the product stage, technical interfaces and decisions the engineer will own. Explain how design, testing and production responsibilities are divided. Assess comparable examples and the candidate's own contribution, rather than assume that experience at a well-known organization covers the full scope.
02Cybersecurity with accountable ownership
Clarify whether the need concerns application security, infrastructure, incident handling or a wider security program. Define system access and escalation responsibilities. Your technical interviewers should assess depth through relevant scenarios and discuss how the specialist works with teams responsible for running the environment.
03Finance supporting project decisions
Explain project reporting, purchasing commitments, inventory and cash-planning needs before defining a finance role. Ask candidates how they have resolved incomplete operational information and communicated assumptions. The scorecard should test the decisions your managers need help making, as well as reporting accuracy.
04Site access and travel understood
State the actual facility, attendance needs, travel and any employer-defined access requirements. Separate those conditions from skills that can be learned. A clear work arrangement helps candidates judge the opportunity and prevents late interview stages from uncovering practical barriers that were knowable earlier.
