YOUR OBJECTIVE COMES FIRST
A technical product still needs a dependable process.
Turn a useful pilot into a workflow people can depend on.
Utah's economic opportunity office highlights fintech, technology, aerospace, life sciences and energy. For a growing software or services business, automation may touch onboarding, internal knowledge or an operational handoff. We map the required evidence and system ownership before deciding whether the task needs AI interpretation, ordinary rules or both.
Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity: Targeted Industries ↗01Onboarding requests with clear processing states
Structure approved intake data and distinguish missing information from a failed connection or a task still processing. Give staff and users an actionable next step. Preserve record identifiers and duplicate checks so a retry does not quietly create another account, request or transaction in the receiving application.
02Knowledge drafts grounded in approved material
Retrieve relevant passages with document and version references, applying permissions before generation. Evaluate answers against representative questions, including requests the collection cannot support. The reviewer should be able to inspect evidence and identify uncertainty without reconstructing the entire research task from a fluent but untraceable draft.
03CRM updates with explicit field ownership
Connect approved inquiries, follow-up tasks and status changes through supported interfaces. Define which application owns each field and how conflicts are resolved. Avoid overwriting a colleague's newer information when an older message or delayed background job arrives after the original record has changed.
04A release and support process
Record configuration changes and test them against a versioned set of ordinary and difficult examples. Define failed-run ownership, manual recovery and escalation. Measure handling effort after including review, correction and maintenance so a successful pilot becomes a manageable business workflow rather than an unsupported technical experiment.
